Bethany Hoang is an author, speaker and consultant with a driving passion to see followers of Jesus across the globe to live the connection between justice and spiritual formation. She serves as Advisor for IJM’s Institute for Biblical Justice after leading the Institute as founding director for a decade. Bethany has been profiled for her leadership in the justice movement by Christianity Today (one of “50 Women To Watch”), Outreach! and Relevant magazines, the White House, and organizations such as Catalyst, Q Ideas, Urbana, Lausanne, and Ideation.
Bethany’s publications include a devotional resource Deepening the Soul for Justice (IVP, 2012) and the forthcoming book The Justice Calling: Where Passion Meets Perseverance with coauthor Kristen Deede Johnson (Baker, 2015), in addition to essays, articles, and biblical notes/commentary.
Bethany holds a B.A. in Religion and History from Miami University of Ohio, and an M.Div. from Princeton Theological Seminary, where she received the distinguished Fellowship in Theology. Born and raised on the East Coast, she now lives with her husband, two kids, and a puppy in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
